Next day at the first turn Mark goes on
We double back and meet him in Crozon
Tim’s feeling the cold
But is ever so bold
And refuses to put any clothes on
The conditions turned right to make hay
On the rolling hills to Douarnenez
Tim and Pete would attack
While Mike & Mark fell back
With expressions of utter dismay
Why does lunch take so long, thought Mike
I’ll just take a look at my bike
This required a stop
At the bicycle shop
Which Strava shows as a spike
It was gone 3 before we got away
But a tailwind made that ok
When the hotel was near
We had a swim and a beer
Then the final hill of the day
Here I should add Mark’s interlude
While swimming he saw something rude
Now here’s the joke
He thought her a bloke
Even though she was totally nude
When our hotel was finally found
Our spirits fell to the ground
Our rooms were quite seedy
No soap for the needy
Restaurant nowhere around
So back on our bikes up the hill
At the creperie we had our fill
The food was just fine
But the beer and the wine
Put a shocking amount on the bill
