Not much to be seen in Aberdeen
If you’re wearing your shades after dark
But a friend who knows me recommends a rowie
And it’s great for a walk in the park
We stayed in Balmedie, before B was three
Nearly tore off our heads back then
Today it’s in blue, and my luck has come through
I’ve a breeze on my back once again
At Cruden Bay back in the day
Line fishing provided a living
At the castle of Slains they killed a few Danes
And Dracula had it’s beginning
Peterhead is not quite dead
But there are plenty of signs of decay
I circle the docks to see what’s what
No activity on display
By Crimond church I find a perch
To enjoy my Aberdeen rowie
I feel I’ve been done, when the bell chimes one
Having expected Psalm 23
The Crimond clock has an extra notch
Giving 61 minutes per hour
A fix after the war created uproar
Till put back as it was before
Another day of autumn sunshine, perfect cycling conditions, and lovely scenery. Grateful not to be pedalling into a headwind with rain coming down and trying to see through my sunglasses…
