Shrewsbury to Nefyn
(21-23 June 2017)

Another early course. Pippa had her 60th birthday in Nefyn and it seemed like a good idea to pedal there, which we did over three days. Some great views on this run and some memorable experiences. In Prestatyn we stopped in a downpour for breakfast, and were soon engaged in conversation with a Liverpudlian woman on another table. She wanted to know all about us in a loud conversation that could be heard by all the other customers, and she was also being a little bit risqué. After a bit she apologised for going on, and said that when something came into her head she just had to say it. I advised her to be careful not to get Tourettes and, after a long pause, the reply was “I’ve not got that…you xxxxxxx xxxx”. We were too doubled up to notice what the rest of the audience reaction was. We stopped at Connah’s Quay and Bangor on the way.
