Every few years I seem to get the urge to write things down and publish them on the internet. I don’t think it is a desire to have it read, but simply that I want to write stuff down and make it look nice in columns on a web page. It’s the adult equivalent of digging holes in the garden and dreaming of one day being a builder. This is identical apart from that this appeals to the repressed journalist in me.

I think as much as anything else I want to write about Rugby. The BBC’s 606 message boards, while very lively, are mostly full of twits, or people who like to over react, so I thought it’d be fun to have my own say and not necessarily want or promote a reply. I imagine I’ll write about other subjects as well - photography, films, Apple Inc and other stuff that interests me. I’m not going to promote this to anyone, so if you’re reading it, you’ve probably stumbled upon it by chance. Welcome to you.
